Home visits
We would appreciate if requests for home visits could be made before 10am. Home visits are only for those too ill to travel to surgery or for the housebound. You may be telephoned by a doctor to assess the need for a home visit. In order to assess the urgency of the visit, the reception will ask about the patient’s condition and a description of the symptoms.
Sickness certificates (fit notes)
You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.
Request test results
You usually don't need to book an appointment to get your test results.
