Age Concern Birmingham
Age Concern Birmingham is not part of Birmingham City Council’s statutory social services, but it is a key voluntary sector partner providing support, advice, and services for older people.
A trusted local charity that offers help with:
- Information and advice (e.g. on benefits, housing, and care)
- Social activities and befriending
- Practical support at home
- Dementia support
- Help with shopping or transport
Children’s Social Services
Birmingham City Council’s Children’s Social Services support children, young people, and families to stay safe, healthy, and thrive. They offer help with concerns about child protection, family difficulties, disability, and support for young carers. Social workers and family support teams work with families to create safe, stable environments and to provide practical advice, early help, and protection where needed.
If you are worried about a child’s safety or wellbeing, or need support for your family, you can contact Children’s Social Services for advice, assessment, and help.
